How it all started
(as told by
Swamiji)

We started our ARK OF LOVE work in Bolivia on Monday June 19th, 2006, with a group of kriyavan volunteers, by visiting street children living under the bridge "Puente de las Americas" in La Paz. Robert, our Ark of Love coordinator for Bolivia, had been helping these children for the past three years, and he suggested that we go visit them and bring them clothes, food, our love and our songs. The relationship with these children was immediate and profound. They sang us a song which they composed themselves, "Los Ninos de la Calle" (The Street Children") which conveyed the unimaginable poverty and sadness in their life, but their eyes and smiles displayed so much vitality and hope at the same time!
