Vocational Center for Poor Girls and Widows in the neglected
Bhim Ghoda
neighborhood of Haridwar, India.
July 10: The Hariharananda Mission-India opens its
first Coaching Center for Poor Children in the remote mountain
village of Reshang,
near the Nepalese border.
August 15: The Hariharananda Mission-India opens its
first After-School
Coaching Center for poor children in Phungar village,
in the Champawat district of the Himalayas.
September:
The Hariharananda Mission-India launches a Mobile
Coaching Center for Migrant Workers' Children in a forest
settlement near Haridwar, India.
December 10: After two years of seclusion and service
in the Himalayas, Swami Sarveshwarananda returns to
the West to resume his teaching and chanting tours. See his
