dasha:
Sanskrit word meaning "ten". It refers to
the ten
stages of life in which ego, desires, and attachments gradually develop,
from birth to death.
Dasharatha: Lord Rama’s
father.
Dhammapada: the
essential Buddhist scripture. Written in Pali, the language used by the
Buddha, it consists of 423 verses uttered by the Buddha on some 305
occasions, covering all practical and spiritual aspects of life. These
sayings were compiled into one book after the Buddha's demise. The sayings are
arranged into 26 chapters, according to subject matter.
dhanam: ordinarily
means “wealth”, but it also represents the six human qualities of birth,
