The House of Abbud |
|
Bahá'u'lláh's most important work, the Book of Laws (Kitáb-i-Aqdas), was revealed in the house of `Abbúd. The prophet of the Bahá'í faith and other Bahá'í exiles were moved here by the Turkish army in 1871 after spending several years in a prison in `Akká. Its conditions were cramped, with up to 13 people sharing a room.
