The Shrine of the Bab

The Báb, which means "gate", was a young merchant who predicted the coming of a messenger from God. Just as John the Baptist said that it was his task to prepare the way for Lord Jesus, the Báb declared that he was insignificant compared to the holy incarnation, Bahá'u'lláh, who would bring the peace and justice promised in Islam, Judaism, Christianity, and all the other world religions. The Bahá'í faith is the youngest of the world religions.
