Daniel

“Blessed be the name of God for ever and ever: for wisdom and might are His (…)
He reveals the deep and secret things: He knows what is in the darkness, and the light dwells with Him.”

 –  Daniel 2:20 and 2:22

Daniel (6th century BCE) was one of ancient Israel greatest visionary during the Babylonian Exile. His prophetic visions and gift of interpreting dreams -- including deciphering the famous "writing on the wall" (Daniel 5:5) as illustrated below -- gave him prominence and an appointment at the court of king Belshazzar.

His name in Hebrew, Daniyel, means "God is my judge."
