Ezekiel

“And I looked, and, behold, a whirlwind came out of the north, a great cloud, and a fire infolding itself, and a brightness was about it, and out of the midst thereof as the color of amber, out of the midst of the fire.”
- Ezekiel 1:4

Ezekiel (early 6th century BCE), one of the major prophet-priest of ancient Israel and the subject and author of an Old Testament book that bears his name.

After the conquest of the kingdom of Israel by king Nebuchadnezzar (as prophesized in Jeremiah 25:9, and confirmed in Ezekiel 17:12), he was taken into captivity into Babylon. His Hebrew name Yechezkel means "God strengthens".
