Thomas
Merton (1915-1968)
was an American writer and Trappist monk. A very engaged monk
for social causes, he traveled extensively to the far east. Below is a

Thomas Merton wrote over
seventy books on poetry, social criticism, peace, social justice and
ecumenism. His most
famous book is his autobiographical
The Seven-Story
