Blind In Society & Blindness: A New Seeing of the World, the. by Lusseyran, Jacques.  New York, NY: The Myrin Institute, Inc. 1973. The following two articles relate one man's experience of blindness, but they also touch upon questions of universal concern. Through constant effort and discovery, Lusseyran learned that there are many ways to perceive the world and that physical blindness can lead to another kind of perception. His discovery pertains to all who suffer loss of any kind, sensory or other. For every loss, he found there can be an equal or greater gain; for himself, blindness was the bringer of extraordinary gifts.

By His Grace: A Devotee's Story. by Mukerjee, Dada.  Santa Fe, NM: Hanuman Foundation, 1990. Dada (Sudhir Mukherjee) is recognized as one of the devotees who had been closest to Maharajji. Their relationship has been so intimate for so long that we treasure Dada's stories about his "Baba" as especially precious. Dada had become so much an instrument of Maharajji that there was no space between the order and its execution. Such a level of surrender was hard to comprehend. It was not as if Dada was a separate being serving Maharajji-he was the service itself. The purity, the power, and the obvious truth of his stories resonate deep within us, opening our hearts once again to our own innocence, reawakening in us our own perfect faith.
